Marketing starts with the business, not with a posting quota

Why volume is the wrong starting point

A posting quota is easy to agree and easy to count. It does not answer the main question: what should change in the business after this work.

If the goal is more enquiries and the content only sets a mood, more volume will not correct the direction. If the goal is B2B trust and the page behaves like an entertainment brand, the same problem applies.

A better sequence

  1. Objective. Sales, enquiries, recognition, or repeat purchase.
  2. Audience. Who decides and what earns their confidence.
  3. Market. Where competitors sound the same, and where the brand can be specific.
  4. Message. What to say first, and what to leave in the background.
  5. Channel. Where that audience actually decides.
  6. Volume and format. How much content that channel needs — not the reverse.

What is not guaranteed

No strategy guarantees sales, rankings, or virality. Strategy reduces randomness and makes the work examinable.

If you are preparing a marketing partnership, start with these questions rather than with the name of a package.
